Thanksgiving 2023 – Invoking Gratitude in the Hell-Realm

The elemental power of Earth Air Fire and Water converging.

We woke up to this gift from spirit after a welcomed night of rain. Wizard husband was quick enough to snap a picture of this gorgeous buzzard drying her wings on the electrical pole as double rainbows lit up the grey sky.

Double rainbow portal.

We felt thrilled and a little awed to be present during this brief moment as the elements aligned in a synchronistic display of beautiful planetary magic. We were reminded that our world and the forces operating within it are much grander than the mundane details of our daily lives that occupy our attention.

A last harvest from our garden this year.

I felt gratitude in that moment, an embodied rush of expanded consciousness in which I experienced sheer joy and a refreshed perception of my innate connection to all life. People talk about being grateful, especially this time of year — for food, shelter, friends and family, even as we are experiencing a planetary evolutionary time of mass suffering, radical personal transformation and Tower card levels of societal restructuring.

We were grateful our grocery brought back the excellent half pumpkin pie.

But gratitude does not mean just being thankful for what we have. Its deeper meaning points to our ability to give and receive in a planetary system in which all lifeforms are interrelated and interconnected.

We were abundant in cucumbers this season.

The flow of life that feeds us — physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually is continuous. When we remember to engage in our relationships in a loving and respectful way, we become abundant through heartfelt participation with this planetary and cosmic flow.

All our needs can be met with an attitude of reciprocity as we live our lives. By invoking gratitude for those plants, animals, people and situations that sustain us, we invite more abundance. Not just the in the past, but in the present and future.

The harvest was a gazillion seeds that feed the birds, the insects, and the soil.

A grateful, abundant state of consciousness calls for mental and spiritual yoga to invoke and nurture — a daily practice of paying attention to what feeds us and what our actions and intentions feed.

Life just keeps flowering.

Everything is in flux. This is liberating. Rather than slipping into desperation we can consciously choose to live in alignment with the planetary energies of the infinitely abundant flow of interrelated and interconnect life that sustains us. We can replace futility with hopefulness as we navigate our daily lives in this tumultuous era.

Gratitude to all sentient beings and all planetary and cosmic relations. May we all ascend to our highest evolutionary potential as peacefully and abundantly as possible. Namaste and Bless!
